About
Read on about what we believe as a church.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves to:
Proclaim the good news of the Kingdom
Teach, baptise and nurture new believes
Respond to human need by loving service
Seek to transform unjust structures of society
Safeguard the integrity of creation, sustaining and renewing the life of the earth.
Baptism: We believe in the baptism of infants, children, and adults who have not been baptised. During baptism the individual is welcomed into the Church of Christ Jesus our Lord.
Creeds: We acknowledge the creeds of the Christian Church (for example, the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed).
Doctrine: Our Church upholds the teaching of the Bible.
Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is one of the three Persons of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
Holy Communion: We are a joint Church and welcome the sharing of Holy communion in the tradition of The United Reformed Church and The Moravian Church. All are welcome to share at the table of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who instruct us to share at His table in remembrance of him.
Jesus Christ: We belief that Jesus Christ is sent by God to redeem humanity. By his death and resurrection he has conquered death and is present with us in the Word and the Sacrament.
Priesthood of All Believers: We recognise the Priesthood of the United Reformed Church and the Moravian Church. We also encourage our congregations to use the gifts that God has given them, to bring glory to his name.
Worship Service: During our Church worship services we can use the lectionary readings or other suitable Bible readings for each Sunday. We observe the Church seasons.
